Mnemonic comic for 弓

引 = 丨 + 弓 : In the encampment, Maud Younger draws her composite bow. She wants to shoot a dinosaur bone straight across the hall.

弯 = 亦 + 弓 : Willy Walrus (w) wants to help the also runner (亦) to also win a race after all. The also ran is racing against Bender (弯) who is in the lead and will soon reach the goal, the anthill (an1). Willy wants to help the also ran by throwing rods towards Bender, but Bender just bends (弯) them into composite bows (弓) and shoots them back towards Willy before reaching anthill.

夷 = 大 + 弓 : The barbarians (夷) are about to hijack the space station! Just inside the entrance Maud Younger (y) and the robot (大) will fight until their death to defend the space station. The robot even has a small composite bow (弓) in his robot hands.

躬 = 弓 + 身 : Gitta Giraffe (gu) tries to personally (躬) shoot herself (躬) with a composite bow (弓). In front of the engine she bows (躬) to fit her body (躬) into the bow, and so as to not get her clothes stuck in the bowstring she wears a well-fitting body suit (身).

弹 = 单 + 弓 : Tecumseh (t) is giving a concert in the anthill's kitchen (an2). He is playing a composite bow (弓) with just a single string. As he is plucking (弹) the string (弹) of his bow, he often looks at the floor where he taped a list (单) of songs to play so that he doesn't forget which song is next.

弹 = 单 + 弓 : Don Quixote (d) is preparing a bullet (弹) list in the anthill's bathroom (an4), but he took the term a little too literally. To create the bullet points on his list (单), he is trying to shoot bullets (弹) at the list using a composite bow (弓).

第 = ⺮ + 弓 + 丨 + 丿 : Dorothy Gale (di) accomplished an awesome result with her composite bow (弓) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4): She shot a banana (丿) onto a dinosaur bone (丨) so the banana was split in half, and then fired a bamboo stick (⺮) into the banana (丿) so the banana was split in half as well. Dorothy is number one (第) with the bow!

张 = 弓 + 长 : Mnemonic symbol: a spreadsheet. James II of England (zh) practices his archery skills in front of the anglepod (ang1). Riding on a longboard (长) he shoots arrows using his composite bow (弓) trying to hit a spreadsheet (张).

弟 = 丷 + 弓 + 丨 + 丿 : Mnemonic symbol: Jesse James, the younger one of the James brothers (弟).

A mean crocodile (丷) harasses Dorothy Gale (di) in the space station's bathroom (Ø4), but Jesse James (弟) is there to stop him. With a composite bow (弓), he shoots a banana (丿) as a warning shot; as the banana doesn't stop the crocodile, Jesse shoots a dinosaur bone (丨) right into the crocodile's crotch.
