重 = 千 + 里 : Mnemonic symbol (from the shape of the character): this one looks like a space elevator. The two top strokes are the heavens, the two bottom strokes are the earth, and the part in between is the cabin (or climber) of the space elevator.

Chantal Chicken (chu) is working in the engine's kitchen ((e)ng2). Her job is to crush sunflower (里) seeds with a 1 kg weight (千) to get the kernels. Then she has to put the kernels into the cabin of a space elevator (重) to send them to outer space. This repeats (重) again and again day in, day out.

水 = ㇇ + 亅 + 丿 + ㇏ : Sheldon Shrimp just climbed the Eiffel Tower. He's really thirsty, so he's glad to find a water fountain. After he quenches his thirst, he also finds a snack: A banana is swimming in the water. He never ate a banana before, so he tries a mix of different methods: Putting on a fake beak to pick on the banana, holding it with a finger and peeling it with a crowbar.

反 = ⺁ + 又 : A protester (mnemonic symbol for 反) makes a racket in the anthill's living room (an3). He's got a huge banana tree (⺁) with him and wants to protest against the exploitation of banana farm workers. Frankenstein's Monster (f) is annoyed by him and punches him with a boxing glove (又).

应 = 广 + ⺍ + 一 : Mnemonic symbol: from 应龙, responsive dragon. The responsive dragon knows every answer to every quiz question ever asked.

应 = 广 + ⺍ + 一 : Maud Younger and the responsive dragon want to peacefully take over engine: They skydive into engine's bathroom using two parachutes. On top of it, Maud Younger plays a flute, and the responsive dragon is waving with a daisy responding to the rhythm of the music.

堆 = 土 + 隹 : Doggy Dog (du) is digging for a bone in front of the Eiffel Tower (ei1) and in the process he is piling up (堆) a huge pile of dirt (土). After Doggy Dog gave up the sparrow (隹) comes to sit on the pile, since she thinks it is quite a nice place.
